A lot of the times, we can get lost in all the different information we have access to nowadays. It can easily seem that meditation is all about the time that you actually spend doing it.
“Do it this time of the day.” “Do it x minutes long.” “Sit like this.” “Time it with that app.”
The problem with this approach is, that we tend to overlook the real purpose of meditation:
To practice a way of being.
Now what do I mean by that?
While we are meditating, we are cultivating different skills and often gaining valuable insights about our lives and the world around us.
The practice of meditation is actually the practice ground for those skills and insights, that we can use in our daily actions – or in-actions. These skills and insights are then showing us the way to create more meaning, peace, ease, joy in our lives. In other words:
To create a fulfilled life.
